The menu at FIFTYTWO consists of a mix of classic dishes cooked carefully. Each dish is full of thought and presented with flair by a dedicated, passionate and imaginative team. Cooking each dish to order ensures the ultimate in freshness on your plate. FIFTYTWO uses seasonal produce and were possible we champion local organic vegetables from Co.Down. It’s great to see our supply farmer arriving each week with a great selection of fresh ‘out of the ground’ produce. We also try to use heritage vegetables - a way of regressing to the original colour and flavour before mass production took over.
Our beef comes from our local countryside and is aged to perfection by our local independent town butcher – George Burns. The venison at FIFTYTWO comes from a huge estate in Co. Wicklow and our fish are locally caught and delivered daily.
The menus at FIFTYTWO change regularly and are supported by our specials board which changes daily and offers quality dishes at great value prices. The superb affordable ‘meal deal’ menu at FIFTYTWO has been a real winner and allows a couple to enjoy 3 courses each and a bottle of quality house wine – who could resist a complete night out for £40 per couple?? Lunch at FIFTYTWO is another opportunity to ‘take five’ from the ‘daily grind’ and enjoy light lunches or complete filling mid-day meals
The chef team favour old fashioned classic dishes brought together with a modern British twist. The kitchen team don’t believe in taking their inspiration from far flung shores instead keeping to what they really know and enjoy. Each component that creates each dish is created in-house from tasty fresh breads to soups, sauces, rich jus, dips, chutneys, parfaits, sorbets and desserts. Our returning patrons enjoy the quality food they receive at FIFTYTWO and always comment on the flavour freshness of the dish.
Complementing the food at FIFTYTWO is our all important bespoke wine list which comes from our sole independent supplier and local expert - Robert Neill. Robert personally sources, imports and provides us with fabulous quality wines which he knows will compliment the style of food we serve. Robert is very knowledgeable regarding wine regions and their respective produce and therefore is the ideal professional to guide you through our regular gourmet evenings.
